Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Leh & Acclimatization

Welcome to Leh! Upon arrival at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, our representative will transfer you to the hotel. Spend the first day relaxing and acclimatizing to the thin air and high altitude. In the evening, take a gentle walk through the colorful Leh Market and visit the iconic Shanti Stupa for breathtaking sunset views over Leh town. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 2: Leh Sightseeing & Sham Valley Tour

After a delicious breakfast, set out to explore the historic Sham Valley. Visit the Hall of Fame war museum, the holy Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and experience the optical illusion at Magnetic Hill. Conclude the circuit at Sangam—the magnificent confluence of the Zanskar and Indus rivers. Return to Leh for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft)

Embark on an epic drive across Khardung La Pass, one of the world's highest motorable roads. Descend into the picturesque Nubra Valley and visit Diskit Monastery with its towering Maitreya Buddha statue. Later, enjoy a ride on the unique double-humped Bactrian camels among the Hunder Sand Dunes. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 4: Excursion to Turtuk Village (India-Pakistan Border)

Drive towards Turtuk, one of the northernmost villages in India, opened to tourists only recently. Explore the Balti culture, stone houses, apricot orchards, and stunning views of the Karakoram range. Return to Hunder in Nubra Valley by evening for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok River Route

Travel along the dramatic Shyok River route connecting Nubra to Pangong Tso Lake (14,000 ft). Arrive by afternoon and witness the crystal-clear waters changing colors from turquoise to deep blue against barren mountains. Enjoy evening strolls along the shore and stay overnight in a lakeside camp/guesthouse.

Day 6: Pangong Lake to Leh via Chang La Pass (17,590 ft)

Wake up early to catch a stunning sunrise over Pangong Lake. After breakfast, drive back to Leh crossing Chang La Pass. En route, stop to visit Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace. Reach Leh by late afternoon and enjoy free time for last-minute souvenir shopping. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 7: Departure from Leh
